Update 7/12/12:
Start time for the event will be at 1pm the day the band performs.  I know this may seem a little early but since it's a festival and there are other acts and people want to get good spots, we'll make sure we do the raffle drawings around 3.

Poster:  I'm looking for some help in getting a special poster drawn up for the pre party in the spirit of the band.  If you're an artist and want to help out, please click here.

Update 6/29/12:
I'm pleased to announce that Wishlist has approved Pathway Caring for Children as the beneficiary for any funds we raise at the party.  Pathway specializes in treatment-oriented care for children who have suffered from neglect, abuse or abandonment.  This is a great organization that I have a personal connection to and feel passionate about.  We'll raise money at the event in three ways:

1. Raffle - We will sell raffle tickets to win prizes like these.
2. Guest Bar Tender - A fellow PJ fan will be guest bar-tending the event. She will have a "donation" jar rather than collect tips.
3. T-Shirts and other items available for a donation.

Please know that there is zero obligation to donate and there will be no pressure at the party.  It's all about having a great time and meeting more of the Pearl Jam family.

If you have any Pearl Jam merchandise, used or new, that you can contribute to the raffle, please email me and let me know.  Check out what's been donated so far.

The Wishlist Foundation:

I'm proud to announce that The Porch has teamed up with The Wishlist Foundation for the Pre Party!  I'll be announcing the charity that we will be benefiting shortly but I'm pretty excited to be able to work with a great organization like Wishlist, which is also 100% Pearl Jam Fan operated.  What this means for the party is that we'll have raffles and prizes etc. to add to our good times with good people.  It's a great opportunity for us to help out a charity in the spirit of the band!

Support the cause with Merch (Donations):
It also means I'm on the hunt for raffle items!  If you have anything cool you'd like to donate it will certainly be appreciated.  Any Pearl Jam merch that you'd be willing to part with or even buy new and donate would be awesome.  Needless to say, anything autographed would likely be a huge hit (if you can bring yourself to part with it).  If you're able to put anything in the mix please contact me at pjfan@ymail.com to facilitate.

Location:
After a great many phone calls I've found a terrific place for our event.  The Public House is just up the street from the show, easily within walking distance, and has agreed to accommodate some very excited concertgoers. The address is 2 Logan Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

When:
As soon as Made In America officially announces the night Pearl Jam will be playing I'll post the start time of the party.  We'll start several hours before the show and wrap it up with plenty of time to get in and get ready to witness the greatest rock band ever!

UPDATE: 5/23/12:

Going to Philly to see Pearl Jam for Labor Day?  Me too!  I'm trying to organize a group of people to get together at the event.  Right now I'm just gathering email addresses of people who will be there and would be interested in hanging out with me and some other fans of the greatest rock band of all time.  As the event gets closer I will update this page as well as anyone on the email list with what our plan is.  I'm open to suggestions, especially from Philadelphia natives.  To join the list, please click here and drop me an email.  Looking forward to seeing you there!
