What is your favorite part of Pearl Jam Twenty?

For me it was getting to know the other members of the band.  I was particularly drawn to Stone.  His sense of humor, perspective despite success, and quick wit added an element to the film that I did not expect.  This is a band that has somehow managed to grow incredibly famous and recognizable while still masking much of their individual personalities from the public.  This is an attribute that I have always appreciated because it lets the music stand on its own without the personal hype surrounding it as much of today's popular music does.  I'm a guy who doesn't like books with a picture of the author on the back.

  1. I had to turn it off when Ed gets the demo tape he sends the guys back. I couldn't watch anymore after that...

@CometothePorch exactly buddy, I didn't realize Jeff Ament was so laid back and quite funny, would be a good guy to hang with.

  6. I agree. The band member interviews were interesting. It was nice to see Chris Cornell get as much screen time as he did because he is a part of the band's history as well. There is definitely some real friendship there; it's more than professional.

@CometothePorch Two scenes I can't separate in preference: Ed and Stone working out Daughter; Ed and Kurt backstage at the MTV Awards.

@CometothePorch I was more or less drawn into the film from the very start. I kinda abandoned PJ somewhere along the way. This docu' reminded me just how awesome they are. It was like a religious intervention (is that totally over the top?)Mt fav parts were the live performances.

  19. When everyone is talking about the demo tape Eddie sent back. Especially what Cornell said "I heard a guy." It was cool hearing their perspectives.
